NetStorage - off campus access to network files

Confidential information should only be stored on the EMU network.
Please read the following before using NetStorage
- Be sure to upload any modified files when edits are complete, or your changes will not be reflected in the network copy.
- Firefox 2.0 users: You may experience a 30 second delay when accessing NetStorage. It may look like nothing is happening, but it will eventually connect.
How to access files:
- Use the appropriate link in the yellow box at the top or bottom of this page.
- You will be prompted for your Royal Username and Royal Password. This is the same username and password used to access EMU e-mail.
- After authentication, you will see the list of network drives. If you are unfamiliar with any of the drive letters, see this reference list. Use the file list in the left column to expand folders and view files in the folders. Continue expanding until the desired file is shown in the main window.
- Check the box beside the file and select Download from the File menu. The selected file will open in the appropriate application (i.e Word, Excel, etc.)
How to upload files:
- Enable pop-ups in your browser settings for emu.edu.
- Use the appropriate link in the yellow box at the top or bottom of this page
- You will be prompted for your Royal Username and Royal Password. This is the same username and password used to access EMU e-mail.
- After authentication, you will see the list of network drives. Select Upload from the File menu. A pop-up window will open that allows you to browse for the file that you want to upload. You may select multiple files by clicking on the button with a + on it.
- Before clicking the upload button, note whether or not the Overwrite Existing Files option is checked.
